DaveRAMSAY(David) Mary, Lynn, Derek and Steven would sincerely like to thank everyone who joined them in the celebration of Dave's life at the Crematorium on 24th December 2019. We will always be eternally indebted to the special caring staff at Cornhill Macmillan Centre who cared for Dave with such passion in his final 36 hours also for their tender gentle care towards the family. To Maureen who gave Mary so much comfort and support, thank you my dear. Thank you to David Baxter of James McEwan and Son for his caring professionalism in making all the arrangements. A huge thank you to Celebrant Jayne Johnson for her uplifting humorous light hearted stories of Dave's colourful life. To the organist for playing Dave's chosen hymn 'Will your anchor hold'. Many thanks to those who phoned, sent cards and flowers, also to the lady in Morrisons for the unexpected flowers given to Mary, all so comforting. To the Civil Service Club for the catering arrangements. To everyone who donated so generously the amount of £750.16 for Cornhill Macmillan Support Group. Mary and all family members were so overwhelmed at the number of people who turned up at the Crematorium to say their final farewells to Dave, we feel it is only fitting he has the last word, as usual, "So long my friends it was nice knowing you".
